There are a number of recurring weekly club cycles which continue throughout the year. In the event of cancellations or changes notice is generally given on club social media outlets. In essence these are as follows;
Wednesday Eve 1830 -2100 (March – August)
This is a group ride aimed at newer members and/or prospective members. Pace is easy and social with the distance approx 20 miles over varied terrain, though is tailorable to the group needs. Meeting point Scarva.
Thursday Eve “Hurt Locker”1830 – 2100 (September – February)
This is a high intensity training session aimed at race preparation.It uses graduated inclines to complete interval work loads on terrain favorable to 4min to 10min work periods. Details of venues and meeting places are provided on social media.
Saturday Morning”9.03″ 0900 – 1300 (All year)
The 9.03 is a group ride aimed at those able to ride at a fairly strong pace (17 – 25mph). It generally covers around 40 – 60 miles over all types of terrain, with the pace will lifting and dropping intermittently. This is a strong tempo ride well suited to those in race training. Meeting place Scarva, includes a coffee/Tea stopalong the way.
Sunday Morning “Bun Run” 0900 – 1300 (All year)
The Bun Run is a group ride with a lower ride tempo, lending itself favorably towards social riding. Terrain covered will be varied weekly. Distance covered is usually 40 – 50 miles. Meeting place is Banbridge and includes a Coffee/Tea stop along the way.
