Stalwarts Tim n Kevin were joined by new club members Gareth and John today, as well as first timer Paul, for the Sunday Bun Run. With several running late, an executive decision was taken to hook up with Mervyn n Ivan, coming in from Scarva. This made 7 in all, and a nice size group for both control and traffic consideration. With some quick thought, A course unfolded leading us towards Tandragee, by-passing coffee in Hamiltonsbawn😕, onwards to Armagh, Loughgall and into Portadown. With the weather dry and warm as it has been over this past few weeks, A healthy vibrant pace was set and by the time we reached Jenny’s excellent resturant New Haven in Lurgan, we had covered a rapidish 40 miles.

Fried sodas all round helped regenerate legs and minds. An easy 10 miles through Donaghcloney led us home. All in all 50 miles were covered at an average speed of 17mph, which is perhaps a little quicker than our target speed for the bun run. The usual sprints for the 30s did help us along tho, with Mervyn and Ivan emerging victorious. John did however give them a run for their money here n there. Great run for all. Hope to see a few more out on next run.
