The weekend of the 23/24 September we had our normal clubs runs in action.
Saturday as normal we had 2 rides on offer, B group leisure cycle and the A group 9.03. From the A 9.03 group Neil give us a run down of what went on.
Now with the racing over, the Saturday morning club spins were up & running again. We decided to try to cycle into the headwind for entire morning & if the wind turned they decided to find a hill, heading for Newry via Markethill & Glenanne. With a coffee stop in Newry, it was home via Mayobridge & the whistle made its 1st appearance to keep the pace down…but it’ll have to be blown harder next week!
The Sunday Bun Run this week stopped in Lurgan for their buns, Ronnie Massey who is just back from holidays was complaining about the weather and lets us know how it went.
Sunday bun run had 4 out in a damp morning that dried out. With little wind any direction was available and we headed North for a change for the regulars. (Martin Mervyn Kevin Ronnie) leaving banbridge to Lurgan via loughbrickland, Poyntzpass, tannioky, laurelvale, portadown to a stop at Jenny’s. Home via Milltown rd, donacloney for an easy 40 miles.
