Our first Individuals TT got underway tonight on the popular rolling Castlewellan Road. With the route undulating and twisting past the Corbet lake and the Anglers Rest, this is a popular test that requires core and leg strength if you are to stay in the saddle in a tucked position throughout. With the conditions dull yet dry a good turnout of 24 took to the start with riders from local and surrounding clubs including Dromore CC, SMCC, Apollo, Shimna and TVR.
At club level a number of riders introduced some new machinery, wheels and accessories tonight, with several posting PB’s and creating an immediate impact with impressive performances. Else where the boys from Dromore and SMCC spoke of improvements over last year with some again on new equipment for 2017.
A full report will follow in our Race Section. Well done to all and in particular, Neil Seffen posting the fastest time of the night. Our thanks to all our members whom assisted in the running of the event and to the participants whom attended.
