The final event in the club’s 2016 Race Calender will take place on Thurs 1st Sept at the usual starting time of 7pm. Sign on will again commence from 6.30pm and we would ask all to arrive sharp in order to avoid delays. Weather currently has a Southerly wind of 13mph with white cloud. As we near the end of the season we ask all riders to assist safety by fitting a rear light as evening light is fading fast.

With the last race comes the inevitable scramble and shoot out to gain those ever so important final points for league titles and towards finishing placings. In the Club League, it’s come down to a four way contest with Simon, Gordon, Ronnie (2015 winner) and Neil (2014 winner). All are in a good position to take the title and will no doubt be pushing hard with their own performances and may well be relying on other club performances to mix it up and split valuable points up. Best of luck to all.

In the Visitors League, having had 67 entries to date, things are equally tight with 5 riders split by 7 points. Although absent over this last number of weeks, after a strong start Mark Short on 67 points still holds a 2 point lead over Davy McKnight. A further 5 points back are Tim Beatty,  Colin Abernethy and Chris McGlinchy. Once again we are grateful for all your support and wish all competitors a safe and fast ride.

So with the outcomes as unpredictable asa barrel of frogs, we’re looking forward, to another good turn out and a strong finish to what has been yet another exciting and close run season.

Special thanks to our 2016 League Race Sponsors  RICES HOTEL, Poyntzpass.
