The excitement amongst the VC Iveagh ranks is growing, the opening 2UP TT on the VC Iveagh Race League has given us an appetite for more. With the season now underway our second race is fast approaching, the tough windy route that is the Castlewellan Road TT. There is always a lot of pre-race excitement but this year more so as we have a very exciting rider taking part in this event, Chris ‘Kipper’ McGlinchey. With numerous wins and podiums under his belt this season he has climbed the road racing ranks to officially become the current ‘Best Rider in Ireland’, no mean feat. Kipper will be putting his new Vitus Chrono to the test and getting some much needed TT miles under his belt.

This year the VC Iveagh Race League is proudly sponsored by Rice’s Hotel who will offer a prize for not only the overall VC Iveagh league winner but they will also offer the same prize to the visiting club race winner. Basically if you attended more than 50% of VC Iveagh races you will qualify for the visitor’s prize. There are no handicaps for the visitor league; whoever comes first will get 10 points down to 1 point for 10^th.
